The Lincs and Notts Area (5) recently enjoyed an outing to 'Mrs Smith's Cottage Museum' at Navenby.
Keith Norton, the Area Rep, supplied these two photos which were taken on the day,
    



Inauguration of the
London and South East Group's Suez Veterans Association Memorial Plaque
 at the Lazybones Living Memorial in Retterdon,Essex, on Wednesday 25th April 2012.
 Although the weather was awful about 80 people turned out to take part.  An avenue of 25 trees have been planted with plaques
containing the names of those
who lost their lives in the Suez Canal Emergency.
There is also a bench with two plaques naming the children who died in the Canal Zone.
The Shoeberyness Artillery Association sounded the two minutes silence with their six man team and twenty-five pounder field gun. 
John Norman recited the Tribute, Monty paraded the SVA Branch Standard and Roy Wilson sounded the Last Post on a bugle.
